Our commitment to environmental stewardship, community development, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
At Saditra, sustainability isn't just a goal — it's embedded in every process, product, and decision we make.
Water recycled in production
Solar energy usage
Waste diverted from landfill
Trees planted annually
Our sustainability strategy is built on four interconnected pillars that guide every decision we make.
We prioritize sustainably sourced raw materials, working with certified suppliers who practice responsible farming. Our palm oil supply chain is traceable and we actively support smallholder farmer programs in Ethiopia and the region.
Our facility employs advanced water treatment and recycling systems, recovering up to 40% of process water. Solar panels provide 25% of our energy needs, with plans to reach 50% by 2027 through expanded renewable infrastructure.
Our zero-waste-to-landfill initiative diverts 85% of production waste. Soap trimmings are re-processed, glycerin byproducts are recovered for sale, and packaging materials are recycled or composted wherever possible.
We invest in our employees and surrounding communities through skills training, health programs, and educational support. Our factory provides dignified employment to over 350 people, with fair wages and career development opportunities.
Ambitious but achievable goals that will position Saditra as Africa's most sustainable soap manufacturer.
